Is there a coup function in the game? Since I cannot create a kingdom during EA, can I become a king myself through a coup?

Someone on the forum noted that there were script within the game that suggested something similar to an inheritance crisis of some sort. However I doubt the game makes a distinction between rebellions and coups.

В Steam написано, что нет функции для управления Королевством, поэтому нет смысла делать функцию переворота в EA.

I don't know about a coup (though it would be a cool feature) but even without kingdom creation, you can be crafty and earn a spot in the line of succession through clever marriages. Might need to let the king die of old age, but if you marry a king's only daughter then succession might fall to you if the faction doesn't want a queen.

The current {LORD_TITLE}, {LORD.LINK}, raised the banner of rebellion against {OLDLORD}. {?LORD.GENDER}She{?}He{\?} claims that {OLDLORD} too long tolerated bickering and factionalism, and says {?LORD.GENDER}she{?}he{\?} will establish a monarchy worthy of the glory of the {FACTION_LINK}." />

The current {LORD_TITLE}, {LORD.LINK}, inherited the throne from {OLDLORD}. {?LORD.GENDER}She{?}He{\?} says that the {OLDLORD} is too consumed by bickering and factionalism, and says {?LORD.GENDER}she{?}he{\?} will strengthen the power of the monarchy." />

The current {LORD_TITLE}, {LORD.LINK}, raised the banner of rebellion against {OLDLORD}. {?LORD.GENDER}She{?}He{\?} claims that the {OLDLORD} has favored the strong and rich over the weak, and that it is time to right past wrongs and restore the rule of justice." />

The current {LORD_TITLE}, {LORD.LINK}, inherited the throne from {OLDLORD}. {?LORD.GENDER}She{?}He{\?} has pledged to open {?LORD.GENDER}her{?}his{\?} halls to all petitioners, no matter how small, and ensure that justice is done." />

The current {LORD_TITLE}, {LORD.LINK}, raised the banner of rebellion against {OLDLORD}. {?LORD.GENDER}She{?}He{\?} claims that the {OLDLORD} has violated the laws and traditions of the {FACTION_LINK}, undermining all the guarantees that protect a free people from the whims of a tyrant." />

The current {LORD_TITLE}, {LORD.LINK}, inherited the throne from {OLDLORD}. {?LORD.GENDER}She{?}He{\?} has pledged to uphold all the laws of the {FACTION_LINK}, as befitting the ruler of a free people." />

These strings might be relevant to the thread. I think inheriting is a thing

Is that my quote you mean?

Good idea, marry the king and have children and then play as your own children to get the throne.

Palace coups would be a fun addition, especially considering how commonplace they were in the Byzantine empire.
You would have to build a strong coalition of course and keep it secret while making preparations like bribing palace guards. Once all is done, a "storm the palace" quest would begin and you would try to seize the capital and capture the monarch. If you fail, a civil war will begin. If you succeed, the other lords will begrudgingly accept the fait accompli, but you will be branded as a usurper, hurting your legitimacy and relations. Not to mention your co-conspirators will be expecting lavish rewards for their loyalty.

By lavish rewards do you mean that line of pikes down main street?

From what we know so far it looks like the only line to the throne in EA at the moment will be through some sort of influence/power based vote similar to other empire decisions. Possibly you need to hold a certain amount of land, power, money and relations with other lords then you will be able to raise a decision that your clan should be the ruling family. It will be voted on and presumably if successful your clan takes leadership of the faction and the ruling clan steps down.

It's worth noting that the countries in bannerlord seem to be some form of Oligarchic clan based democracy rather than a strict feudal system. The ruling member of each clan is not necessarily the oldest and inheritance is passed down by designation.

Doesnt work like that though  If the faction leader dies his son/daughter doesnt simply inherit the throne. All the clans vote for the new leader.

Maybe Battania and Sturgia's throne succession requires a vote, but I think the empire's throne succession should not need to vote

Considering Northern Empire is a unification of a "Senate" who probably all vie for power, and the Western Empire are more military minded generals i'm guessing every clan wants to lead ? Maybe the only exception is the Southern Empire with the Empress and her daugther. But i dont know if there will be exceptions.

Maybe if your clans influence is high enough you can still manipulate the outcome

The Kingdom Management devblog from almost two years ago mentioned being able to support another clan to become leader of a faction. Assuming that hasn't changed, we should have an avenue to take control of an existing faction through political means even if a violent coup isnt an option yet.

Here's the blog

Is there a link for the no kingdom creation update?

Whats up with that? I can’t recall that feature will be missing in EA.
Quoted from the steam page's description of the game's early access period.

Throughout the course of the early access period we intend to introduce the missing supporting features, such as, rebellions, kingdom creation and weapon crafting, while expanding and enhancing many of the existing features that are outlined below.

If allowed, marrying a Princess / Prince of the Southern Empire may be the easiest way to inherit the throne
