Is the main quest broken?

Hello,

I'm playing 1.5.2 and wanted to create my own kingdom. I collected all banner pieces, succesfully besieged a city and went to Arzagos. Then I reassembled the banner and asked Arzagos how to create a kingdom. I fullfilled all requirements but he isn't giving me a dialog/option to create a kingdom...

But now there is no way actually to create my kingdom... What is going on? What is wrong?
 
It's not really made clear, but what you actually have to do is create your own kingdom through the clan screen, then talk to him and 'support an existing kingdom' - yours.
 
Thanks! :smile: Now I have a kingdom, but the quest "Create a non-imperial kingdome" isn't completed as I lost the "Clan Independence".

As I'm in war with sturgia (because I took a city from them) I need to complete the quest in order to get peace. Or not?

No, just talk to Arzagos. There's no actual reward for the quest anyway :smile:.
It won't give you peace with Sturgia though (despite a hint in the text somewhere that it would).
 
My last game I was fortunate enough someone died so the main quest was canceled. It made my life a lot easier.

This round Istinia is getting all these huge factions to declare war on me, even though I have no vassals. I am constantly running back and forth to break sieges and either fighting huge armies or paying tribute when I can't win.

My fiefs ran out of money to buy my loot and everyone and their dog is recruiting in my towns. Fortunately I'm using true
prisoner mod so I'm keeping 2 factions at bay because I locked up 80% of their nobles... but they still want 1500 dinars a day for peace.

Odd thing is that despite all these armies running around, the outlaw gangs are everywhere so my companion parties can't build their own armies.

Until they they give us a way to complete the conspiracy quest they should get rid of it. I just want a bit of peace to help my subjects. I don't have time to stop raiding parties let alone do a few quests.
 
My suggestion is to download the mod Cultured starts and use Sandbox mode. IT deletes the main quest and you can still build a kingdom
 
I don't like that we're on rails with the main quest and the clan leveling system. The only up side to the main quest right now is that you get a good companion out of it. That said, I haven't played far into it in quit some time. I always get bored and/or frustrated with the state of the game by around clan level 3.
