Is the current module system fully compatible with 1.011 ?

Hello,

I read someone stating that the current module system is not fully compatible with version 1.011. Is that true ? And if it is, does anyone know if an up-to-date module system is on the work ?

I'm not sure your 'fully compatible' just mean usable or mean some parts are not yet compatible..

as far as i know, the former is yes, and the latter i'm not sure.
 
The current module system is usable, but the module files that it generates and the module files that come with 1.011 Native are not identical. The current MS generates files that are identical to the ones of 1.010 Native. The difference is the order of a variable.



 
Not nothing. That one variable (g_village_raid_evil) causes the rest of the variables to shift by 1.

If you try to modify Native 1.011 using the current MS, you'll probably experience some incompatibility problems in conversations, mission_templates, presentations, scripts, triggers, simple_triggers etc.
 
Kinlar, do you mean that under certain circumstances, a "faultless" mod created with the module system could return an error when played with native 1.011 ?

You can create your own mods from scratch without any problems using the current MS. You may have incompatibility problems only when you try to modify/tweak Native 1.011, which is a mod itself btw, without changing the order of that variable.

You can see it for yourself, just create a mod using the current MS and compare the files generated with the ones that come with Native 1.011. There will be differences in the files I mentioned above.
