Is "Reality" a game?

Do you think what we know as ''reality'' is really an advanced computer simulation?

It's all just a game. Now go stand in the middle of the road to prove my point.

Reality?
Sounds like a ****ty game.
Is it even worth downloading?

Wrong subforum btw.

EDIT: I disagree with you Duck. That is only a mere step of existentialism.

But really, as long as people do good things that you wouldn't expect them to, that kind of proves that it's real.

How does that prove anything but that good and unexpected actions are possible?

If it's a game, can I do headshots with my level 3 fireball and explode that orcs head ?

AWSUM !!!

Seriously though, that has to be a pretty retarded question. In the end, who gives a damn, if it is a virtual reality, it's still the only thing we've lived in, and in which we'll die in. Therefore, whatever it may be, it's the only thing we're certain we do have, might as well enjoy it and stop asking useless questions such as that.

Have you ever thought about "You think therefore I exist."? or "We think therefore we exist." or "God thinks therefore I exist." instead of just "I am the only real person alive gtfo bot!"

I know.

@Selothi: Existentialism is actually an interesting subject, he just formulated the question in a weird way.
@Duck: It's just a saying. It doesn't 'prove' anything.

It shows that people have consciences. They'd be contradicting their nature and showing a capability to make the right moral decision.

Also, if it was a game, who wouldn't be using cheat codes? Honestly?

How? Can't a good and unexpected action be a hoax? Do you really have the insight to know and understand why and how other people think? You can make your guesses, and you can draw your logical conclusions and you can judge out of your experiences, but can you really know?

Back on topic

The existence of good does not mean it can't be a game. There are good people in games. The dev has coded them to be friendlies. They don't aggro on sight.

What do you guys think?

It doesn't have a 'reload' button, so no, it's not a game.

it's a game w/o save and load function. those are the most stupid games. so no, not a game, but you have all the choices
