Is it possible to make a treaty with a warring kingdom?

I am asking this because every time i take over a nation, I ask for peace near the end, and they never accept. Before then, they always say "It is not profitable for me to be at peace" or something like that. The only exception I have ever had was when I destroyed Sarleon, and they then asked for peace when I started hunting down the remaining lords to annihilate the faction. Is it even possible to have a treaty when they still have a castle or 2? I have 6 or 7 persuasion, 160-180 honor, and around 80-90 right to rule.

I had some pretty similar problems. I think that eventually they have the 'reclaim old lands' incentive to war to such a level that no amount of intimidation or right to rule can outdo their desire for war.

Then again, when they are cornered to just a few castles, it makes sense they'd be at the 'nothing left to lose' level. And miracles sometimes happen -in my game, the Fierdsvain took over sarleon almost completely, and were about to siege Laria when Ithilrandir *and* a nameless Jatu army came by and pulled the most amazing wombo combo on the entire horde. Perhaps your people are hoping for a miracle to turn the tide?

I just got a peace agreement with Ravenstern after a month of fighting . It appears that if you just steamroll them, it doesn't give them enough time to ask for peace. As in, the "so-and-so feels he must keep up the war for a little longer for the sake of honor." After he beat a couple of my lords, he was open for peace. I guess I've just taken them over too quickly in the past because I didn't have enough vassals to sustain a long war.

I tried to play a pure Empire game back in the day and failed. So, with better tactics and ideas of what I needed to do, I tried again, starting myself off with four good trainers (including myself), the fief of Fedner (lucky as hell to not get a border fief), and a war with the D'Shar.

After taking Nal Tar, Singal, Torbah and Sher Quila, the Fierdsvain made peace with the D'Shar. We, the mighty Empire, have taken Ishkoman and every castle except High Pass. I personally took Muqaddas Pani and Sange Safid.

And the war isn't over yet. It's been over two months. Conclusion: If a war seems like a stalemate, it will end pretty soon. If someone's getting rolled, the war isn't ending anytime soon.

Huh, that's quite the same that I've seen.

Kingdoms usually try to make peace with me if I'm besieging one of their holdings. But I've never had a kingdom accept my proposal of peace, out of twentysomething tries.

I had some pretty good success getting peace treatys. I always send Sara the Fox, she does her thing with the king and I get peace. I think It also depends on how many factions are at war with them.
