ture abit but joining a big regiment isnt fun you are known as a player and not as a person. what do i mean by that? well if you join one of these huge regiment they dont really care for you much else you have been with them a long time, they dont take the time to get to know you and most of the time there is always PTS in session and no banter. But if you join a small regiment you get known as a person so people talk to you, have a laugh become friends with people in the regiment and even get somewhere in the regiment and linebattle are more fun because there is banter everyone haveing a good laugh. that just my opinion we all have are own

It's best to join a small regiment because then your known.
Although recently I and a few others from a previous regiment left and joined the 2nd Coldstream,Peter who is one of us had arranged for him to get his own company of the men that came with him,and thus the coldstream rifles was born. But although it's a large regiment I've already tried to make myself known. I offered to design a nicer thread for Spartan and have often done what I can to promote the company. And as such I've made the best of my situation and stopped myself from becoming one of many but instead one of a select few with Spartans ear. It also helped that I got myself a promotion to Corporal

Its not that their are not allot of big regiments. Just the lack of commitment to some regiments is astonishing. So we usually only get like 8 people out of 30.

There are a lot of smaller regiments, but the turnover rate for them is quite fast. The larger regiments tend to benefit from a robust command structure which allows them to weather various problems and stay afloat.

Keep in mind it is the summer in the UK and the weather is becoming the best we'll have for the year too.

I expect regiments and the community itself with solidify itself in September as the colder weather draws everyone else back inside. Fingers crossed a lot of older and newer faces will return to give the DLC another chance especially after the single player mod for NW releases its first beta.

A lot of people join the bigger regiments to get a feel for the game and when they are ready leave and form their own too.

Blue skys and no clouds at all ... so hot ... but I work in an office on a port, sucks arse.

But my regiment the 52nd has stayed small, its pretty fun we have some pretty good connections in the community too, and because we are small we can fit into that niche of supporting regiments who need boosts to their numbers.

Wouldn't say biggers regiments are better nor good for the game ... their neutral ... just like small regiments.

They all have pros and cons:
Bigger regiments tend to:
Get more reg vs reg battles.
Less acknowlegement for the single person.
Usually do okay for recruits.
Closed off Community.

Smaller regiments tend to:
Get less reg vs reg battles.
More acknowlegement for the single person.
Usually do okay for recruits.
Open to Community.

I'm just doing a quick summary its not 100% accurate as it depends on the regiment, their contacts in the community, with the larger regiments there tends to be a keep themselves to themselves, but it depends what you call big regiments right now the big 3 i'd say are 84e, 51st and 92nd and I have to say I rarely hear from them or their members anymore ... which is a bit of a shame really.

Not True, we have around 50 people in the Na company of the 1er, I know who everyone is besides the people who have only shown up once.
but it may just be the 1er that values their members more... as people who just happen to be amazing killing machines.

The problem with regiments with over fifteen active guys the whole trying to micro manage and getting a specialist slot and sticking those who don't mind in with the line.

Smaller is easier to train too I guess.

Me and my lads are really small but we like it this way we feel more like a group of friends and such than regimental members, also a comparison of regiments ingame on public;

Large regiments -  - distinguised due to size and numbers

Small regiment - . - You see that dot boyo thats a regiment you look hard enough you will find the small ones

Bah, assigning them serials at the recruitment stage is the best way to do it. Who needs names when they can have wonderfully static ID's like 100283 and 201143?
