Is it ever possible for the Tribe of Osraige to unite Ireland?

I have a liking to backing up underdogs in every game I play and I feel kind of bad playing VC and they are always destroyed. Just started a new game with an Irishman and slowly building renown and armies and winning tournaments.

The question is if I build a strong enough Irish army (I don't plan on leaving Ireland yet.) and join the Tribe of Osraige, would it be possible for the Tribe to survive and even conquer Ireland? would other lords defect to the Tribe?

VC-R is amazing BTW. No game has challenged me in the early game like this one. I've lost the early game so many times and quit  out of frustration and this is the first where things are going well.

playing on sandbox mode you can support any kingdom, even your own. What will happen will depend on a lot of factors like luck and your own success in battle.

The truth is, I did it as a nobleman, once you destroy one faction with them, many nobles join the tribe, and then they already have the power of a strong faction!

The hard part is joining them before they get wiped out. Especially if they are at war with both Mumain and Laign.
