Is every location on the map real?

Obviously places like Jorvik, Bebbanburh, Hordaland, etc are real- and some abbeys (like Lindesfarne) seem to be real too- but I've never heard of a 'Din Baer' before and can't find anything about it online, same goes for Ad Grefin, Bal Malha, etc. Are they all real and just not well known, or were they just made up for the game?

The Viking Conquest map seems to have more generic town names than historical ones for villages atleast.. e.g. Eofer Ham East and Eofer Ham West in Yorkshire seems to loosely mean Yorkshire Village East and Yorkshire Village West. And Jorvik isn't located on a river on the map for some reason doesn't make much geographical or historical sense as it was only a Viking capital due to its location on the spot where the river Foss runs into the River Ouse, which gave the Danes a direct connection by water from the centre of Yorkshire to the sea/rest of the world.

Bretynwalda (the mod) had a much better researched map from what I recall and all of the villages had historical counterparts.
