Is "Enable Death" functional?

I've had the Enable Death option activated in my save that has gone for just over 10 years now, and haven't seen anyone actually die yet. Occasionally a Lord will be marked as "killed" in the battle stats, but will be alive and well once everyone returns to the campaign map. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'd like to know if I have to keep babysitting the more useful companions in my party ^^'

The only death I know of is wifes dying in child birth.
I don't think it's working as intended as the ageing system seems unfinished.

I'm still wondering about the Lord in one of my games who died through assassination. Other than that, I never had any hero die.

this need dynamic npc generator system. if the clan had a lack of npc and there was not grown child in that, system can aotumically create new npc and add it to clan. there is so many man in world that like main character following their dreams to became lord.

Thanks for the input, guys. Keeps me from thinking the AI were just making incredible DnD-style saving throws... and from spending so much on making my companions look like the Michelin Man.

80 days/year is too slow to see aging working properly i think 30 days is the right balance

I had begun to document this a bit for my own reference. Killed vladanian king in combat with a nice 730 couched lance to the neck. red on combat menu, looks quite dead, end combat, look up his name in encyclopedia, hes been seen a few days ride away, today. Same story for other nobles... and my companions it seems. Ive a charmed companion that likes charging on his mount solo to lead his infantry. he must die every other large scale battle. Zombie companion still going strong!

Executing other lords works as expected however.

Yes, sometimes you get a notification on the campaign map of someone being murdered
