I hope Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is coming to consoles - because bizarrely M&B Warband is one of the best games I've played on XBONE!

Does anyone know?

If I've understood correctly, Bannerlord is exclusively a PC release, at last in the start. I don't know if they're planning to release a console version at some point.

There's a few fairly strong sources to suggest it is coming to consoles!

I really hope so....

sure they're might considering consoles release but not in near future. Talewords is developing bannerlord exclusively for PC. Check out captainlust with 4chan users interview.

I'd say a big factor influencing their decision of whether they'll bring it console is whether it sold well on console (Warband that is). Does anyone know?

Really? Source please?

Man I hope so - it's the only game I'm interested in at the mo!

Right. Not confirmed. Heavily rumored. Apparently warband was a way to test the waters so they could see if its financially justifiable to expend resources on porting bannerlord.

I knew that Warband was a way of testing the waters...

But they can't honestly base predicted sales of Bannerlord on a game that frankly looks 10+ years old, has clunky controls, very poorly explained gameplay and a steep learning curve! I mean only the most ardent fans of the genre would take the plunge and stick around long enough to figure the game out. First couple of hours I really struggled, and thought 'dear lord what have I done?!'...

Warband is not an easy game to get into at all. The few who persist will find a diamond buried under the rough sure, but like I say, only a few I imagine would stick with it!

But Bannerlord is a different proposition all together! Firstly it's far more visually appealing so I dare say quite a few more people might be willing to try.
I would say that it would definitely have a market on consoles, simply because there is no other games like that.  RTS is a genre that is really thin on consoles.

I'd say the console game market has become stagnant and its crying out for more games likes this!

Erm, Warband is a very popular game on PC so way more than "a few" have stuck with it. The controls are only clunky on console too, but it was designed originally with mouse in mind so what can they do. Also the game does make an effort to explain itself if you go on the in-game notes. The learning curve is only steep because unlike common genres, like FPS, you haven't already played 10 other games that play and control the same way.

This one is illusive..... yes?

Reminds me of h#roin hero, "come on and catch me"

I have seen dragons, perhaps you will see a dragon. I won't say where i saw one. Perhaps i did not.

M'aiq hears many stories on bannerlord, yet few of them are true.
Some say console exclusive, Some say M'aiq is a lair. Don't you believe either of those things.

M'aiq is very practical, He has no need for mysticism.
M'aiq knows much, and tells some. M'aiq knows many things others do not.

M'aiq is tired now. Go bother somebody else.

May the road lead us to warm sands

I don't believe Bannerlord will come to consoles for the next couple of years, they've only just released warband for consoles and this game came out 6 years ago for PC. Will it come? If it does well on PC I don't see why they wouldn't port it to console. However releasing games for consoles is a massive pain due to the long wait for updates and they probably have large restrictions.

The funny part is that it came out for nvidia shield on the android app store before it came to console.
