I am currently deployed to Afghanistan, found Mount & Blade on Amazon, ordered it, played it, Loved it. I don't know what it is about running around on horse back slicing people in half. Ordered Warband shortly after playing Mount & Blade, got it in. Hate Steam with the passion, the internet in this hole is extreamly expensive and unreliable. What ever happened to get a game play it off the disc and everyone is happy.

Either way, after searching the forums, found a way around Steam. Looking forward to trying that this evening.

This game is the best thing to do in my down time other then clean my guns.

Welcome.
Notice the combat system and physics has changed in Warband,
so you need to get used to it, just like it took a while to master combat in M&B.

Press x to switch throwing weapons to melee, and to couch the lance (but that can be turned off).
Press and hold down F1 to order troops around.

Hello.  I am new here.  And I'm being watched.    Actually, I wasn't sure if my posts were just buried/ignored.  I found out though with a warning from an anonymous moderator from Taleworlds that sent me a private message labeling my post(s) as spam after I'd locked it.  My lesson learned.  Now if only some kind person has some useful input for my direct gameplay questions then I'll be a happier Mount & Blade game player.  Oh, and if Warband is less expensive for me to purchase then I'll be happier too.  And no, I'm not a bot, a spammer, or a kid.  I'm just an old man that plays pc games.  Greetings and cheers to all friendly folks here!
