Haven't heard about it. The news is flooded with people talking about how they don't want to do anything since ice is slippery.

I just thought of something; would jizzing on ice counteract the slipperyness?

I PROPOSE A COUNTER RAID ON /B/

I propose we physically find the idiots and beat some sense into their greasy, little, acne riddled heads.

I just wonder what is the actual public support for wikileaks? Governments and Companies(like Amazon, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal...) seem to be judging it illegal and baaad, but considering the huge ammount of coverage in media that is actually seems pretty neutral/pro-wikileaks.

Well, anyways, all this cyber and commercial warfare, along with juridical responses to the commercial actions versus wikileaks and the extradition request for Assange? I never thought real life events could be this epic. Extremely interesting to see how it turns out.

Unless VISA and Mastercard are stupid enough to have their actual transactions going through their public websites, it should be fine.

Yup, my Visa atleast worked fine today.

I think they actually tried to block paypal from *actually* working, instead of just shotting down sites and blogs, but apparently they failed.

Yes, they only turn down the websites, so not that much damage done. I heard they also turned down my governments website.

I personally support wikileaks, and so does a lot of people I know. It's refreshing hearing the truth once in a while.

Edit: Turns out that Mastercard and Visa is ok with people transmitting money to the political part of the KKK but not to Wikileaks.  :???:

Yep, and quite a lot of other organizations that are on kinda shaky moral ground...

I actually see the reason why'd you want to keep diplomatic cables confidental in many situations(it really hurts my scheming atleast when the discussion has to be done in public), and the "trash talk" about many heads of state and government really didn't add much to anything, but censorship like that is just intolerable. And rather counterproductive, by the looks of it.

Props to Facebook for not closing the Wikileaks page. Seems like it's pretty much media vs US government...

Media vs majority of governments, more like it. The only governments that seems to be enjoying this is like... Venezuela and Ecuador and those kind of countries. They are all like "SEE! WE TOLD YOU WE ARE NOT CRAZY!!!". Ecuador even put up all of the documents that's been published so far regarding their country on the government website.

Facebook are basically a bunch of hackers, so they support other hackers.

They'd happily let you fund the Nazi party if it were still around, no company is going to willingly pass up the chance to make money. As US organisations however they're subject to US law, since Wikileaks was added to the US DRPL list last week they're no longer permitted to trade with them. The KKK on the other hand is a legitimate and legal organisation, at least under US law.

As some of you said, Operation Payback wasnt meant to cause any "real" harm, just a small publicity stunt on our part. Coldblooded said theres thousands of downloads on the bot that people can download which will then be used to do all the dirty work.

And Russia

In what appears to be a calculated dig at the US, the Kremlin urged non-governmental organisations to think seriously about "nominating Assange as a Nobel Prize laureate".

"Public and non-governmental organisations should think of how to help him," the source from inside president Dmitry Medvedev's office told Russian news agencies. Speaking in Brussels, where Medvedev was attending a Russia-EU summit yesterday , the source went on: "Maybe, nominate him as a Nobel Prize laureate."

Also, Rafael Correa, President of Ecuador, suggested his country should give asylum to Assange. Furthermore, in the recent Iberoamerican summit held in my country, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua wanted to include in the final declaration a statement condemning USA for the cables; however this didn't catch on. Of course, these governments aren't exactly buddies of USA.
