I called my isp about my slow connectivity speeds and they said that i should try updating the firmware,my Speedstream 5100b modem has no yellow sticker under it with the ip address to its configuration, i found the ip 192.168.0.1 on the internet and tried telnetting and using the browser but it says nothing. but without the yellow stickers. I want to connect to it because i need to update the firmware for higher connectivity speeds, (my 12mb connection runs only at 4mb now). Im not very skilled in internet things and tried to do it under linux but it didnt help, also there is nowhere on the web any indication that there would exist "non configurable 5100's with no yellow stickers".
