Summary: I've had smooth sieges and battles as well as gameplay performance in general from launch day until now, but I was just in a siege that had just under 1000 men in it, and the FPS just absolutely tanked. Now I know you're going to say, "of course the FPS tanked, its a massive siege," but I've played sieges like this before and scraped by with about 20-30 FPS in the past, and in the beginning, this siege was going that way too until I was sniped off a tower and became a spectator, when this happened my FPS went sub 1, and the game started locking up..
Now normally this game is pretty intense on my system, so I keep.my task manager and my system thermals on my second monitor. And when this happened, my GPU and CPU where basically not being used by the game, their usage levels were just barely above what they would be normally - however, my GPU memory was maxed out. It was as if my GPU wasn't being used by the game, when I would hit escape and open the game menu my GPU would go back up to 100% utilization but the second I went back to the actual game it would continue at it's base utilization and the game would still operate slowly.
I tried turning my graphics down to low to see if it was a problem with the detail rendering but it made no difference.
