Though it may seem a minor problem, I think it is worth mentioning it.
When you install Warband your game loads default settings, including a frame limitation of 120.
120 frames is absolutly useless. 60 frames is sufficient.
I think most players are not aware of this and play the game with a an unnessessary high framerate witch consumes a lot more power. (Watch the forums screenshots)
As a result your computer gets hotter, consumes more energy and might degenerate faster.
Try it out:
While 20, 30, and even 40 frames per second might seem laggy, 60 frames is 100% fluently. There is no difference between 120 and 60 frames.
If you have no aircondition, remind my advise in the summer and switch to 60 Frames
