A quick question after scouring the boards for a definitive answer... I have only played for a few days, and while I'm in love with this game, a few things made it feel a little unpolished, so I went looking to see if others had had the same desire to tweak a few settings.
Many of my concerns have been addressed and I have tweaked a few minor things like:
- scaled prisoner price based upon level
- max battle size
- food consumption rate
Must Cheats be enabled to use the text file tweaks posted all over the forums? I ask because I have seen posts that say it might need to be enabled, and others just don't say.
I don't want all the clutter of the cheats, nor the temptation to use them... I just wanted to make the game a bit more balanced and optimized for play.
Are some of these simple tweaks "cheat" necessary and others not, or is it across the board mandatory?
Also, if I am able to disable cheats and keep my tweaks, will I need to restart my campaign from the beginning, or will saved progress keep working?
