Thanks.1.5.5, worked with a previous 1.5.5 version pre hotfix that fixed it. Not sure about pre 1.5.5 saves tho
I can finally start a long term campaign.

If you're not gonna want to start a new one in 1.5.6, I would recommend holding off for these developments for snowballing. I would definitely still recommend testing 1.5.5 out tho, just maybe dont get super invested (try some new things out)Thanks.

I actually haven't had repetitive snowballing in a campaign for a while because of the mods I've been using (stronger garrisons is the main reason). On 1.5.3, 30 years into the campaign I'm about to abandon only Battania has been wiped out (mainly by me personally) and the Khuzaits are actually the weakest... but the second generation bug is becoming very apparent. If you're not gonna want to start a new one in 1.5.6, I would recommend holding off for these developments for snowballing. I remember something about buildings getting downgraded during siege bombardments. That sounds like a dynamic way of doing it to me.
I see, I know in the singleplayer plan there is mentions of "Pillaging conquered towns & castles", maybe there can also be a "Raze" option like there is in Total War. That could reduce the town project levels, so maybe if you know you won't be able to hold onto a town for very long due to possible rebellion so a reasonable choice would be to raze it so the enemy isn't as strongYes I reported this to armagan 4-5 months ago then we slowed down process by about 50%. I know it is still a problem, we only delayed it. I think we need more town projects & maybe more levels. I can open its discussion later. About other questions I will answer later.
This would be cool, but we know as of now most settlements don't get bombarded for very long. Never seen an AI trebuchet a wall all the way downI remember something about buildings getting downgraded during siege bombardments. That sounds like a dynamic way of doing it to me.

+1
So what if I want to tear down the walls of the site just for the sake of it and then loot it and leave it for its low tactical level at placement level? I will find myself with the options of conquer and plunder, loot and leave, or devastate and leave ? that has not been talked about either ...

Is it possible to make seiges such as with trebutchets have the chance to destroy a building and reduce its level by 1? Maybe that can help stop everything being maxed level.Yes I reported this to armagan 4-5 months ago then we slowed down process by about 50%. I know it is still a problem, we only delayed it. Speaking of that, what happened to the destructible walls and all that stuff that was presented some years ago? ?Is it possible to make seiges such as with trebutchets have the chance to destroy a building and reduce its level by 1? Maybe that can help stop everything being maxed level.
The destructible walls are already exist, if you use sieging engines long enough. After 2 Days a lvl 3 Wall gets broken, ready for the battle. After the battle Looters came and rebuild that Wall to lvl 3 again, with throwing stones.Speaking of that, what happened to the destructible walls and all that stuff that was presented some years ago? ?
it is present, you can destroy pices of the wall that protect the archers, in SP and in Multiplayer as wellSpeaking of that, what happened to the destructible walls and all that stuff that was presented some years ago? ?
I was hopping that we would get not just the tip of the walls destroyed but bring down entire structures, it is what it is.it is present, you can destroy pices of the wall that protect the archers, in SP and in Multiplayer as well
I think one way to "fix" it might to have building "degrade", either through time, sacking or prosperity.Yes I reported this to armagan 4-5 months ago then we slowed down process by about 50%. Yeah you can't destroy them once you are in the live action siege, you can only destroy them when on the campaign map using trebuchets (they will only focus on the walls once all defender siege engines have been destroyed). After they have been destroyed on the campaign map portion of the siege, you will see once going into the live action siege the walls have a giant breach in them which your infantry will use to funnel in. Highly recommend doing it this way, as you can win much closer battles without sending your men up ladders to be picked off one by one.I was hopping that we would get not just the tip of the walls destroyed but bring down entire structures, it is what it is.
