I'm not sure I get you.

Which Balkan faction from the old version are you unsatisfied with? And are you honestly saying that you were the one who pitched is the idea of adding the Balkans?

no no no.... i was aiming to say i want to play wallachian faction,that i may be subjective in that matter since i am romanian i know but,i really belive it would be possible even respecting historic reality,even though most of u don't,i'm shure we didn't pop up of the ground like they say,...u know the wallachians!

Ah.. So who was king/grand prince or whatever in year 1200? No one, because there was no Wallachia.

haha...u,re right there was no king but there were 3 wallachian countyes(independent and strong they specify) like i previously said and there were the wallachians,mentioned in a teutonic knights diploma in 1255.king bela(?) of hungary hired the knights saint jhon to protect the kingdom of hungary from the attacks of the cumans and the wallachians.after king bela got sick of the teutons he tried to bann them but thay stayed and remained to form cityes bla bla.look is there no way u can make me play those damn shepards in your game?they also state the capitain of the fagaras county andrei and his brave daughter petra

the roma language is untraceble i wouldn't know what roma would come from to them but i do not care.i hope u will not dispatch me again as a nationalist,the line between that and a patriot is very thin.i think you reaserch too superficialy in the balkan matter,but it is the most spectacullar in the world.good luck and please consider my proposal.

There's no line at all. "Patriot" is what all nationalists call themselves.

As far as I can tell 1255 and 1200 is not the same.
i'm shure if they were there in1255 there is a high chance they were there also 50 yers earlier,i won't keep nagging you i know won't do it,and if u wanted to do it it would be hard anyway.thanks i will try to show you interesting things when i'll get the time who knows mabye i'll convince you.gods speed with the game!thanks

That's where our vision of "historically accurate" differs between you and us... (and you may not be the only one)
If we find no CREDIBLE proof that clearly mentions the year 1200 in the sources, thus it shall not be considered as historically accurate for thy moddd. It has to be a VERIFIED and CERTAIN info :smile:

Prior to the consolidation of Wallachia, waves of nomadic peoples – the last of them being the Cumans and the Mongols – rode across the territory.[4][5] The territory became a frontier area between the Golden Horde (the westernmost part of the Mongol Empire) and the Kingdom of Hungary after 1242.

Well, you have two options:
1. You can play with Bulgaria, or as most Romanians like to call it "The Kingdom of Vlachs and Bulgarians". It's still ruled by the early Assenid dynasty (namely, Kaloyan and his cousins) and you can consider them to be ethnic Vlachs. One lord in particular, Dobromir Hris in Macedonia, is f.e. specifically called to be a Vlach by Niketas Choniates. So you shouldn't have a hard time identifying with that faction.
2. If you don't like option 1, you can just role-play in being an ethnic Vlach, recruiting Vlach troops from the Vlach villages (yes, there will be some Vlach villages to the north and the south of the Danube, check my Bulgarian research to see which) and eventually create a Vlach state of your own (though you'll still probably have to pick a Bulgarian (or other) culture in the beginning and thus use Bulgarian (or other) castle troops).

Not exactly. IMO, "patriot" today is what "nationalist" used to mean before - someone who loves his country. But "nationalist" today is closer to "chauvinist" (i.e. someone who hates the other countries, while pretending/claiming to love his own), which is why "patriot" is pretty much the only word left, which has its old non-chauvinist meaning.

Names of units that can be used for almohad and banu ghaniyas (they are accurate, trust i'm an arabic/moorish speaker)

plur means plural of course

Infantry=>Machi/plur: Mouchat(e)
Recruit=>Hashid/plur:Hushud
Archer=> Rami/ plur:Rumat(e)
Spearman=>Rammah/plur:Rommaha
Horseman=>Rakib/plur: Ro(u)kkab
Knight=>Fariss/plur: Forssan(e)
Slave=>Abd/plur: Abid
Drummer=> Tabbal/plur: Taballa
Black guard(you can keep it in english or put this) Hariss zanj/plur: Harass az-zunuj
Scout=> Kachaf/plur: Kachaffa

About the units like imajighen and other units that have names of tribes/factions i suggest to just add something like this:
example for imajighen (or imaZighen unit) is Rakib imazighi/plur: Rokkab imazighen

Some useful words:
Light=>khafif
Heavy=>Takil
Sergeant=> Raquib
Professional=>Mouhtarif

the letters in '()' are optional, add it if you like it if not keep it without^^

If you want more just tell me and i'll be happy to help  :wink:

You already have some arabic names, but they are somehow wrong. (imazighen,rumat..etc) just take from there what do you need. :wink:

In this Mod, only some troops have names on their native languages (like Almughvars),
because they are special, or because there is no English equivalent for that word.
Most of the troops have translatable names, such as Archer, Swordsman etc.

Speaking of which, Cruger, is there any particular reason that you wrote Swordman, instead of SwordSman?
I know that English say Pikeman, not Pikesman, Spearman and not Spearsman,
but I looked in my dictionary and on internet and it always say Swordsman.
I mean, even if you type Swordman on Google, it will say: ''Did you mean Swordsman?''

sorry but i have to disagree with you. if you look to almohad troop tree, you will see some units like rumat (archer) taballa (drummer) mushud (i have never heard of this one, but i think they meant hushud who means conscript) abid (slaves)... so...

Cèsar made the troop trees for the Almohads and their names, I guess he will have something to say about it.

Anyways, we intend to keep the names in English unless they are unreplaceable, as for example with the Almughavars.
