- Raise the Pathfinding skill (I think you know this one already). Borcha or Klethi are good for this.
- Larger parties travel slower than smaller ones.
- Higher-level units travel faster than lower-level, and cavalry faster than footsoldiers.
- Put extra horses in your inventory (doesn't matter which type) and they will act as "packhorses", reducing your speed penalty for items in the inventory.

To clarify, pack horses only speed you up if you're traveling alone.LBaeldeth said:I can give you a few tips for travelling faster.

I already said cavalry moves faster than foot. Heck, you bolded it. The "more men = slower movement" still applies with cavalry. Travel with just yourself and then with fifty horsemen. You move slower with more men.

What I had meant to say... and yay for posting after being awake for nearly 24 hours...
Large foot only armies will slow you down while large cavalry ONLY armies will move faster. Having added cavalry to a foot army wont increase the speed much beyond the base for that army. You would need the majority of that army to in fact be horsemen to gain any significant increase.
Of course the solo horseman (you) is the fastest on the map as well.
I meant to detail it more because your post implies that by adding cavalry you'll go faster... but that's not entirely true. It wont increase it by much unless the majority are horses.
