Incorrect Serial Number

So basically when I try to enter in my serial key. It says Incorrect Serial Number (Even though it's exactly the same as the one Steam gave me) , I've tried to contact TW support. But I never got a response, I just wanted to check that email ([email protected]) is still working.

No, I'm not trying to put it in a Non-Steam version and the key I'm using is up to date.

The question was if the game version is up-to-date. At some point TW had to patch the game to support more CD keys. That means that old versions of the game don't work with new'ish keys.

How do I know if my game version is up-to-date?

If you have downloaded it from TW website recently, you should have the latest version. Some people intentionally download an older version of the game because they think they won't work with the latest version of the game.

Although... Steam writes the CD key to register by itself, installing non-Steam version when you have Steam version should not ask for the CD key at all.

This is what happens when I try to enter in my serial key. Also, I bought M&B Warband then I refunded it. Then I bought it again during the Steam Summer sale.

I don't want the non steam version. I just want to fix my Serial Key.
