Incorrect Serial Number, my ass...

I haven't been able to play MP this morning due to incorrect serial number error. Only thing that has changed since yesterday is my version. I updated my game to the newest version and got this error. Any ideas how to fix this?
And before some smart-ass comes whining about pirated game I'd like to tell you that I preordered my game from Steam and I also have it registered on TW's site.

Do you mean the "wrong authorization key" error? If so, this happens all the time. If it hasn't happened to you before then consider yourself lucky.

AFAIK it's a bug yet to be fixed and the only solution is to keep trying to join the server until it accepts you. Apart from that, you won't be able to enter most servers until they all update to 1.104, but that has nothing to do with the error you mention.

Anyway, if you want to control when Warband is updated in Steam right-click on the game's name in your game list, select Properties and uncheck the automatic update option. That'll avoid the other headache of version mismatch with Steam unusual ultrafast patching with Warband.
