Incorrect serial key - game bought on STEAM

This happened today. I wanted to play warband online and it didn't let me enter any room. First it verified key for ages, and then it said i got an incorrect one. I bought my game on STEAM, and payed for it fair and sqare. Why's this happening? Is it of any relevance that i had to change monitors two days ago.. maybe some hardware data got changed or something...?

Anyway sorry if i posted in the wrong topic - please help me ASAP


I forgot to say that this happened after 58 hours of play...

Still having a problem there?
Are you trying to start Steam game and getting this error or does this happen when you try to join online game or when does this error appear?
If you're trying to play Taleworlds version using Steam key, you'll need to use "Show serial number" option in Steam instead.

Warband and normal Mount & Blade are different games. So it won't work.

There is no "normal" mount and blade and "broken" mount and blade warband.
They're two separate games. Of course it won't work! Key from Honda Civic won't work in Mercedes S500 for the same reason.
