Hi. Not sure this is one of the problems being looked at with the Rival Gang quest bugs, so I thought I should post this. The first time I did the quest with a new rival gang opposing leader, it worked, troops for both sides spawned in town and the rival gang leader appeared, there was dialogue and a fight, and the quest progressed smoothly, but every time after that I've done the quest with a repeat of the same rival leader, both his and my troops appear in the town scene, walk a short ways, but then just stand still. The rival gang leader is not present and there is no dialogue. To make the quest progress, my character has to defeat the opposing troops on his own and they do not fight back. After the troops are dead you get a battle victory message (though have to use Tab after that to end the scene), and then the scene changes to where you are talking to the gang leader who hired you, you get the relations and money reward, and relations with the rival gang leader decrease. The only place where I have fought these battles has been Marunath. I have never run any mods, and I'm currently running version 1.5.4 of the game. I do have a save file from right before a gang fight where this has happened...just let me know if I should upload it and where if you need it. Thank you.
