Regular
hello, i've recently got the full game of mount and blade, but i have a few questions/problems.

First, I currently have 3 versions installed  751, 903 and 1.001,  751 is the only one that doesnt lag for me (i installed 1.001 first, and that caused major lag, uninstalled it, installed 903, that lagged bad too), i think it was because of the graphics and stuff, is there anyway i can change things in the files to what 751 had to make it run faster?

Also, if im downloading a little mod, to enhance normal gameplay, can i put it into the same file as native, or do i need to make a whole new character in that mod..?
i mean, for example
i downloaded Town Troops, Do i have to download it to the modules and play it on its own, or is it possible to combine it with native?

Thanks for any help you can give me

Try installing the latest version, 1.011. Put all graphic options to their minimum and see if it runs smoothly. The game has changed a lot since version 0.751 and there is no point playing an old version, if it is not for a specific mod you want to play (that would only be playable with 0.751).

Unless you're running an outdated mod... there's no reason to run outdated versions of the game. So do what he says and get up to speed. Bring sliders down for graphics ESPECIALLY to corpses and ragdolls. Most mods do require a new character (though you can export/import the characters stats). You just can't proceed from a saved point for most mods.

upgrade your computer, man.

Games can't be designed so they are runnable on every system. It just doesn't work like that. mount&blade has a very stable performance friendly engine and if you really can't get it to work on minimum settings:

Must say, 751 runs laglessy, Even on high settings, i get really high FPS on it too,
but the other versions are on lowest settings and still lag, i can barely move when in a battlefield..

I cant update my computer at the moment
if you mean the computer itself, like new parts, i have no cash, if you mean update it through the internet, i dont know how

*Facepalm* Please read what's been suggested so far.

I'm sorry to say this, but if your computer can't run Mount and Blade, then my suggestion is to get a new computer. and maybe a computing manual.

Edit: anyways, this should be in Techical Assistance, not Zendar,

I've only played 1.011 myself, and on DX9 it lags as hell. Like, 3 fps, regardless of the settings. On DX7 it's playable, on the lowest settings at least
You should try DX7 as a rendering method, and I should probably try getting some cash for a new computer.

Sorry didnt know where to place it.

No i'll try and run it in 7 now, i thought because 9 was higher it would be better..

Thank You Guys, its lagless  i can now run into a siege and kill everything and not have to wait 5 minutes to actually attack

Questions seem to have been answered now, thanks
