In my latest playthrough. 4 castles were given to me at seperate occasions and 10 minutes later they were swept out from under me.

I have had 3 different campaigns with the same effect. It is extremely hard to keep a city/castle with the standard garrison and very costly and time consuming to garrison it yourself. With lackluster notification that an enemy army is besieging your city/castle doesn't give you enouigh time to defend or mount a defense. AI Armies with 700+ doomstacks. Thoughts?

Invest in 2 or 3 caravans. Vassal yourself to a kingdom. Travel in that kingdoms army, fight in their battles, keep prisoners, keep all the loot, go to a city, sell everything. Rinse and repeat. You will get stupid rich. Go around buying recruits. Level them up. Garrison your castles. Garrison your settlements. Too easy bud.

This will not in ANY way save you when you need to quickly garrison a new fief. Heck i still got 800k cash, high ish leveled and i got my fiefs decently guarded but still a new fief is often impossible unless youre already there with a 500m army.

There really should be a warning your town is getting sieged down, and towns should also realllyy be able to garrison up a bit faster. In the current state they will never recover above 200 men u less significant peace time has passed.

Hmm. I know that when I made my own kingdom using the dev console, it does indeed tell you when your settlements or castles are under attack. Flashes big across the middle of your screen. I can't recall if it does that if you don't own your own kingdom but merely have castles and settlements.

Also, it's definitely helpful to always have 2 or 3 party members make their own parties, and then call them together into your "army" that you create, since it's zero influence to do so, and then you can have a stupid big army.

Yea the back in forth taking and retaking castles and if you lose it after it was given to you, you won't be given it back after your faction retakes it. Its a huge let down and demoralizing. My first game I played our faction had 80% of the map and at that point I had one castle. Abstaining from votes screwed my rep up with friendlies. At the time I didnt realize it gave negative rep.

It does show up but its very quick if you have speeds up high and easily miss if you are distracted doing something else. I just want an alert that says enemy army spotted in your territory. That would be nice.
