Improvements to character sheet

I had this as part of a generalized suggestions thread and given the better etiquette of posting suggestions with the actuall subject in the title instead of "minor suggestions" here goes (with some new additions).

The character screen which shows your stats and skills should also have the following information:

1. Your rank in the Vaegir/Swadian army. It could read "Sir XXXX, Knight of the Vaegir army"

2. Your class. You picked on in the beginning of the game... Perhaps it should be listed here to remind you of how you started the game.

3. Your relations with all of the factions. It doesn't have to be numerical (as it is given each time you attack a faction), it could be qualitative.

1 and 3, I agree wholeheartedly. However, I don't really see the usage of number 2, unless, like another topic stated, the starting class really had a significant impact later on in the game.

I think that idea #1 is good. To see your rank, at will, would be nice. Somewhat of a 'reminder'. Maybe even expand on that idea and add what rank you have achieved with every faction ... meaning you were a XXXX for the S, but now are a XXXX of the V. The rank that you achieved but lost from changing sides could be greyed out or something. This could be placed on the same 'public standing' screen (see below).

Idea #2 is, in my opinion, unneeded. To me, as stated in the other thread, your initial class shows where you came from ... it has nothing to do with where you are going (skill-wise).

I think idea #3 would need its own screen rather than be on the character screen. Maybe a 'public standing' screen? Especially if you consider that there might be more vanilla factions to join by the release of version 1.0. Also, it would be good to have the extra room so that modders could add their factions on the same screen/area.

What if instead of having numerical levels, they were qualitative, based on the class you chose? So a novice priest would become an acolyte, a cleric, a priest, bishop, etc etc... Maybe the title only changes every five levels or something like that?

in my opinion "where you came from" does matter IF in a perfect game like i want you never get enough points to master everything and need to decide wether you want a master marksman, master swordsman etc and not a superhuman "jack of all trades" :)
