imprisoned lords

Is there a way to release lords from your prison after you've defeated their kingdom?
So as that maybe that will make them happy enough with you to join your faction?

Nope, best thing to try is to camp around with him in your party instead so he has a higher chance to escape.

There's a tweak to let them go though.

Too bad there isn't the option to hand out a death penalty or torture the lord endlessly. If I get captured and imprisoned I'd rather fight my way out than magically escaping or magically paying a fine when they've already siezed all your items.

That could work in game.

Everytime you get captured by an opposing army some sort of mini-game/fight could take place for you to escape sooner.

in the mod Roots of Yggdarisil there is a permant death option that allows you to kill a lord once they are captured its pretty cool

If you have them as long as two weeks within your party or in prison,  their faction will likely Ransom them even though they are defeated.

For example..

I defeated SWADIA (Quest finished) yet still had a Lord in Prison.

About 2 weeks later the defeated Swadia ransomed him.  ...

Wierd i know...
