Imprisoned Lords once their faction is gone?

So I have... every Rhodok Lord including their King imprisoned and I own all of their territory. I received the 'Kingdom of Rhodoks is no more' message and I sort of assumed they would vanish but they're still around and still real angry. Will I still get offered money to free them? Or should I just let them rot? Or...?

When a faction is eliminated (you can do this without capturing the lords, you can take every castle and town so that the enemy lords can not spawn, and then destroy the remaining lords) their lords become "Free Lords", they will then join one of the remaining factions. They can not do so if they are in prison. I've heard that They are suppose to join factions at random, but to my experience they would rather join a faction that they have not been much at war with.

You will not get money for them. They can escape. When they escape they will join one of the remaining factions. I'd suggest you let them rot, there is nothing else you can do. You can not free lords, but you can tweak their chance of escaping.

EDIT: If their King was not imprisoned he would vanish. So, when you defeat a faction all their lords remain, but the king (or khan) is removed from the game (unless, as said, he is in your prison).

They have the best chance to escape while they are in your party and not in a city or castle.
If you don't want to use the tweaks just carry them around for a while.

Huh. I had lords rejoin a faction straight from prison. I had several Swadians in my jail at Tulbuk when one of them actually joined me (Haringoth, the [only, sometimes] cool Swadian). Others just collect dust. I wih you could offer imprisoned lords freedom in exchange for joining your faction. With a chance later on at ditching you, of course, depending on the lord's honor. (Like somebody like Haringoth or Alagur would stay stalwart, while Grainwad or Tansugai would leave you high and dry).
