Impressions from a new player

Fair point. Maybe if there's a play mode where you start with lots of money, and/or troops/fiefs. This way you avoid the grind without having to exploit. The grind itself is a lot of fun for a new player, especially if like me they appreciate the challenge.

Edit: maybe make this mode locked until you unlock it by advancing far enough in a regular start
I mean yea, the grind is pretty much the only thing that is fun at the moment in the game for me too. The balance in the game is just all over the place, but once you realize that even if you are rich, there is nothing in the game that you can spent your money on it becomes extremely useless and takes away all the fun. For me atleast.

Can't you conquer the world in this game? I mean if you have too much money can't you hire loads of mercenaries and elite troops and paint the map? Not that this is much fun in itself, but it's a common thing for games of this type

True but i hope you don't blame me for it, i just wanted to see how long it takes to actually make enough money to never care about it again in the game. And i think we can all agree that 1 million is more than enough for that.

No, not blaming you at all.

Idk if you ever played a modded version of Warband, but if you did then you know why people play Bannerlord. There should be so much more, but why should i want any castles in this game? Every faction could be at war with each other, the moment you the players gets a fief they gang up on you, their entire armies drag their balls through broken glass across the entire globe just to attack your village.

Owning a town in this game doesn't give you any real benefit. Neither does a castle. But it could be on me that i am so disappointed, because i still remember them talking about how you can build your own castles and towns (as in you can customize them and it reflects on the world map) but the harsh truth is, you just pay for a text that increases in +5% more food or w/e. And it just makes me sad to see that all this time in development actually meant nothing for the game.
And i hardly doubt that those things will be modable. Since there is no foundation to build upon.

He is just beeing hyperbolic, if you dont exploit smithing you will get to a point where you run low on gold. If you have like a 150 men elite tier party and 3 other partys in your clan which have around 100 troops it drains a lot of money. Well i havent gotten to the point where i had a huge kingdom myself yet.

No I haven't unfortunately. I wanna check it out. Which mods do you recommend?

That is hard to say since there are so many out there that you have to find the one that suits your personal taste the most.
I personally enjoyed "propesy of pendor" the most. But that is a total conversion that turns the game into a fantasy sandbox game.
There are more historically accurate mods.
Some that put the entire game into an Asian setting. Just check out moddb for the good mods

Honestly, just practicing in the arena until you are confident enough to take on the AI 1 on 1 is your best bet.

I'm fine one on one, it's more the two on one that I'm scared of

Edit: anyway the point of what I said was that if veterans are bored of the grind there should be a way for them to jump right into the juicy part without having to use exploits (smithing and marriage)

There is, it's called beat up the wimpy minor factions as they leave a town and sell them to the unemployment office and pawn their underwear. Doesn't get more juicy them that!
You should still get married though because I'm not sure if the kind of gear npc lords have ever turn up in stores, haven't gone long game in 1.5.1 yet.
So until everything is straiten'd out you gotta get hitched if you want certain stuff.
