I got a few questions.

Why cant we leave hunting battles. The new buffalos are pretty cool.

Is bow hunting better than with guns on here?

Can you buy a scoped sharps?

Also, where are the mountain men?
(please dont be a jackass and say "Well they are in the mountains." I have looked over the entire map for them using the truesight cheat and I still cant find them)

Another question, when you throw dynomite, why do people(including the player) float into the air and then fall back down .

Thanks!

Don't you just love it when cavalry comes bashing in and then runs into a hell of lead and gunpowder about 25 feet from where you stand?

I love it but the timing is pretty hard. If you're too late or early, volley fire doesn't work. But if you command "fire at will" at the right time, it is effective.

1. music - really good stuff, the new songs are great, except just one - Western_Lead_Title.mp3 (the one that's always in menu, and also in some battles). to be honest, after hearing it just 3-4 times during battles i had it enough already, and i must say i find it quite annoying. dont know what the rest think of it, but i personally suggest removing it totally and adding some other song in place of it
2. loot after battle - as some pointed out already its a bit too high. its kinda funny when you take 12 pistols from 5 looters... i suggest decreasing the amount of stuff you get after battles, and make all items more expensive (also for making the top quality weapons harder to get)
3. quests - we definitely need more quests, and those that already exist need finishing (cleaning cottonwood, duels on the graveyard, train escort with soldiers jumping out of the wagon just to get slaughtered by enemy cavalry)
4. bandit / lawmen factions seem to be doing nothing but sitting inside hotels, please do something to make them more active and more involved in fights
5. new battlefields - how many times can you fight battles on one of the 6-7 gounds...? its becoming boring

i know it may look that all i do is complain, but many people here already said how cool this mod is, and i wanted to point out some negative aspects as well for more balance  of course i enjoy this mod very much and im looking forward to its next releases. you guys have done a really great mod, keep up the good work!

unfinished animation I think

Overall quite impressed with the progress. I really like the elegant way the "not enough ammo" complaints were addressed; and it was a nice surprise to get a "indian" set of flavour pics. Some of those i had already put in myself with 0.7  (Maybe replace "silenced war whoop" with "indian warfare" by Remington, as it depicts literally the "dragged from the field by comrades"?)
Almost all of the changes are for the better, only one that I really don't like:
The new starting positions in the "ravine" style battlefield really screws up the AI pathfinding, maybe set the spawning point for the attacker not that far into the corner?

Minor nitpickings (some new some old):
1. Saber is still by a wide margin the most deadly weapon in the hand of the (mounted) AI, it turns even a low level NPC into a killing machine.
2. While the increase in small "rogue" type parties on the map makes it easier to get loot and battle experience, it makes the escort missions more of a chore, especially when considered the low rewards in XP/money.
3. loot is to easy to get by fighting said rogue parties.
4. Horse stealing is too rewarding and (almost) without danger, either you get some valuable horses or a some target practice with lots of free XP and weapon proficiency points.
5. Good bows are extremely expensive.
6. Apache faction shift from "Mountain" to "Plains" type made it almost into a copy of the Comanche faction, in 0.7 they felt more unique.
7. Indian characters start with higher firearms than bow skills.

It's an awesome mod. Really one of the best, if not the best, i've played. The music is especially good. I also really love the implemetation of the gangs and the Hotels and banks of the towns.

The only thing I think needs to be done is adding more villages and towns, especially for the Commanches. Their three villages are simply to little.

Strange, in my current game they are very active. I regularly get the message that some Hotel is under siege by either lawmen or bandits. And they regularly delcare war on/ make peace with each other.
