Impossible to elope after getting permission to court?

I got permission from Nasugei Noyan to see Lady Mechet and got relation with her high enough for her to agree to marry me. However, there is no elope option and she only tells me to ask her brother for his blessing.
I'm thinking maybe I can elope if I get him to say no. However, he always says yes! Even if I leave Khergit Khanate and attack him until his relation is -100, he will still give me the blessing to marry his sister even while he's telling me to trip on my sword when I ask about making peace with the faction.
Lady Mechet is the 'romantic' type so seems an ideal candidate for eloping, but is the possibility completely removed once I'm allowed to see her?
