Impossible to control archers when defending siege (CoM)

Hi all,

I am using the mod "Collection of Mods" (CoM) for Warband. I don't think it's mod specific, but my archers and troops always want to charge towards the castle exit when I am defending sieges. They'd even just walk down the siege tower or ladder even when told not to.

When not walking down to their death, they'd just crowd at the exit point and not do anything. Is it even possible to get them behave like enemy archers would where they'd just sit happily on top of turrets and rain death down below?

Never been in that situation.  Usually its all down to my warriors to defend the ladder area.  Not sure what might cause the archers to charge out.

Maybe its a mod conflict, making them position themselves out of the castle?

Obvious question but have you ordered them to hold ground?

Hold ground yes. The only way to stop this is to order them to follow me in and camp inside the castle. but still. I would like to be able to put them in the turrets
