if you try to change the key assignment, it will be LEFT MOUSE BUTTON.

@sverr the current workarround for this is constantly spamming the left mouse button and the key you want to assing the action to. I mean real spamming, like more than 20-30 times left click-key bind, left click-key bind, quickly.
This way i managed to change crouch from Z to CTRL

also you can change it in the file settings

That didn't work for me, only spamming worked oddly

I had the same issue.
For me it worked to change the keys while I was in Singleplayer.

You can delete the BannerlordGameKeys.xml file located in the Configs folder in the Bannerlord's Documents folder for resetting the bindings.
