Im too stupid to get modding tools working with harmony

Hey,
I am trying to get the modding tools to work without a crash at startup.

So I have trial of the seven kingdoms installed and have played it for some time. Now I wanted to continue and work on a Mod I started back in Warband,

but it seems impossible to get the modding tools to work in banner lord ; this is the error i get
.


I tried everything else that is mentioned, version is the same, checked vcredist,.....

I read somewhere I need to disable my installed mods(trial of seven kingdoms) did that loaded the launcher and the same error messages along with a lot of messages of png images like vlandia_arms missing pop up.....

I really get that exlib and harmony, etc are great to extend the coder library to work with and make it much easier to create things, but jeez compared to Warband this is a drag. Alone the endless modules that need to be created for a single mod. I am sure it will be more stable if they work separately beside one another than everything rolled into one, but still this can get chaotic very quickly.

I created a Win64_Shipping_wEditor inside harmony and the error disappeared, I disabled the mod and now I just get the normal shutdown message.

EDIT 1: I got rid of the error message by making a new win64_shipping_weditor folder and copied the 3 harmony dll inside. But EVEN with my MODS DISABLED I get hundreds of ignore messages on all the different materials like the vlandia_arms, etc..... I am not going to click through hundreds of these messages to ignore them for future uses.

It looks like you cannot have a mod installed while trying to make your own mod or why the hell do I keep having these problems?

Any ideas?

Thanks and sorry for the rant but I am close to giving up on banner lord modding without even having modded one little thing.



EDIT2: I clicked off about 75 of these ignore messages and then I got the editor working. So the problem is that the files from the menu of trial of the seven kingdoms are missing while loading and every time I start it up I have to click off these 75 messages.


Could anyone tell me where I would have to look for these files and where do I have to copy them to get the intro working correctly?

What do you mean? the thread closing or my problem with modding?

With modding, forget it, ain't really possible.

You can start the editor with mods installed the problem is that you cannot disable their assets or configs. So when you begin modding with a mod installed you subsequently overtake some of these configs( i think so, that's how it was explained to me).

The problem with the ignore is specifically with mods that think they need to add assets to the main menu to change it.

For example, with mount&warcraft reborn, it works, but you still load their assets with the editor.

So to mod, you need a blank M&B installation. Whatever you wanna do, do not ask the trial of kingdoms team for any advice as to deal with this problem or anything related to modding when it comes to their project.

When I asked in their discord what the exact problem was(to understand it) I was blatantly accused of wanting to steal their assets, lol.

Sorry to say it but there seem to be a lot of egocentric arseholes in their team, especially their leader.

Anyway i am done with the game for the moment, because of modders like that and the fact that modding mount&blade at the moment is bad, with core things missing and problems integrating your own assets, creating new things, etc.

Can you show me the bin folder in the Harmony folder? @mastercheff

This may sound silly to you. Try this method.

Win64_Shipping_Client
Win64_Shipping_wEditor

Throw one of these two to the desktop, rename the other and put them back in the same folder. It may work, although these errors usually look like this, I've witnessed people who have experienced this solved it using this technique. Even I personally got this error, I recommend you to try the solution if that's it, if not, point it out again. I can direct you to the person who made Harmony.

But, like I said I moved on atm from modding m&b and I will come back when tale worlds reaches a more stable version(stable in the sense that you won't have to rewrite everything after an update from them).
