Hi.
I'm actually stucked into my playthrough.
I was playing a kind of RP playthrough, I absolutly would join the western empire, and I won't leave it, or restart to do it better, or whatever.
I'm not asking to get unstucked, I know I could simply leave the kingdom and join another empire.
I would just report this feedback for the developers, or the moders if they want to work on it.

So, playing on the beta branch, I've just joined the western empire. I was like "eh nice the new wealth share, just joined it and they release a fief on purpose to give it to me, so I can have an income and participate to the war".
There, the enemy instantly captures my castle. Castle loose, influence loose, relation with the king loose.
This spiral repeats like 5 or 6 times, until I end with -70 influence, and -15 relationship with the king. They were giving me a castle that was just captured, and that was recaptured on the fly by the enemy, very fast.
I'm no stucked with -70 influence, -15 relationship with the king, and most of all, and this is the DAGGER, a tribute to pay. I have 0 money, I have debts, I have a tribute to pay, I have no fief, I have NOTHING. I just have to leave it.

So yes, I know. I COULD leave it and get a new start, but I won't do all of this again from the beginning, and I won't have to cheat, and I don't want to leave it.
I just think that losing a castle should not drive into influence or relationship loss. I was not responsible of that.
Maybe it is something else that made me lose relationship and influence, maybe I did not understand something. But for now, I'm done.
I wanna make this clear, it's not a complain, a whine, or a trash talk. Just a feedback to help devs and modders.

I think that the loose of a fief should not penalize you for relationship and influence, I also think that u should not have to pay tribute if u have no fief. Others should assume the tribute for u ? The time that u get something at least ?
And also, the king should be able to kick you from the empire or not accept u in the empire if there are already too many vassals and that they cannot assume u as a vassal.

I don't know, some tweaks on this would be good.

Thanks if u've read until there.

Yeah it's certainly a problem, especially for the empire factions , because of their locations. I think they should add a time buffer of say 10 day before you lose relation if you lose your fief. It's pretty hard to be vassal IMO but being a ruler can end up almost the same too once you get enough vassals that they can all vote for more wars and make armies.

Yeah, this is really annoying.
This needs some fixs, as for the mercenary contract, where u should, in my opinion, have a fixed wage, but then you would be forced to join armies that you would be called in.

About that, the total autonomy u get and the unability of the AI to call you to join him into an army might disturb a lot his plans. The frame work is bad for that, that would be better that the AI lets u a time to join him, regarding of the distance u are when he calls u, and then if u don't join in a certain amount of time, u would lose relationship, lose wages as mercenary, lose influence and relationship as vassal, etc.
Also, adding a diplomacy aspect where the other vassals of ur kingdom could turn against u or, why not, if they are enough to think that, bannishyou from the kingdom, that would be cool.

I concur that losing relation after losing the lousy, bad positioned fief you usually got should be reworked. However, if you were forced as mercenary to join AI armies, I would certainly quit the game, given the dump and suicidal behavior of the AI armies, and the inability to command in AI battles. There would be no better way to lose your parties constantly.

yeah maybe.
I don't know how this should work.
I don't know how the AI could interact with you to take in consideration your going or not, and change his plans regarding to this.
Maybe the system of "influence" itself is wrong. Maybe they should add hierarchy. I don't know, but I don't think that total autonomy can fit with the role play you should have as a vassal.
You cannot be a vassal and go on your own, ignoring ur brothers dying at war. You should not be individually rewarded for fleeing into the batlle. I hope they fix all of this.
