I'm now doing commissioned works! (3D-models for mods and digital paintings)

You should post this in pioneer's or the forge so mods know about it.  I mean, not many people go on Music, Books & Art

As The Reb Baron cleverly noted, this might be a better place to put up my offer for the modders to find. Basically, most importantly for modders; I'm doing commissioned 3D-models, fully UV'd, fully textured. (items, weapons, anything...) for really low prices. Big model projects like cities or big buildings and stuff, too. Anything basically.

More info can be found here. Check it out if you have any interest!

You should consider setting up a proper online portfolio and once you have that spread your net wider in search of commissions in job search forums like Subdivision modeling, deviantArt, etc. And if you're new to doing commissions make sure you read up on freelancing resources regarding how to conduct your business transactions and stuff like that (very, very important!).

Thanks for the tips, but I'm trying to gain some experience first, before joining the big shots. Besides, the actual 'professional' freelancers do high-poly works too, for example. Not to mention they ask ridiculous ammounts of money. I'll stay away from that for now.

What about rigging/vertex animation?

I don't think I'd be able to pay you; the only thing I can really send you is my infinite love.

(So I prolly won't be commissioning anything, I'm just wondering.)

Just hook me up with a PM of what you need and we'll talk.

It would be a good idea to post some samples of your work.  4 years is a long enough time to have some sort of portfolio.  Why not post a few pics here.

I started working on a portfolio a quite a while back, but I just quit because it was this lame free site thing  I reallly didn't feel that was what I wanted. I wish I could set up a *real* site, but you'd need to pay fees for the server (right?) and I don't even know how to code a website. :I

And to avoid clutering up the thread I made I avoided tons of links with examples; basically if you have any interest in stuff you can just PM me and ask for examples and I'd be more than happy to show some stuff (maybe related to what you might need).

There are certain sites which are purpose made for portfolios that allow you to host your works for free as well as help get you some exposure within the industry.
Here's one such site: http://www.coroflot.com/

There are some others with pretty good layouts for portfolios, though it's best if you can design your own website to suit your own presentation or at least pay someone to do one for you. Also, web hosting is pretty cheap nowadays, isn't it?

Just signed up, looks pretty cool at first glance; I'll take a better look into it when I have more time. Thanks.

i used microsoft publisher for this, this program is really useful if you can't code in html.
my site is hosted at www.ilohost.org its a really good free hosting service and free (3GB space, www.name.ilohost.com). but i dont think its available in english, its an austrian site.

Edit: and the trial of publisher is free too, you can start it 30 times i think
