And the flats isn't completely flat either, they are sort of curved, but just slightly. Makes it very comfortable to hold. I really like those pencils. They even have these black dots all over it, looks like a bunch of little molds. If your bored you can use a scissor or a knife to cut them away, because they are slightly leveled over the surface of the pencil. You don't get many pencils like that, it's a one of a kind pencil.
