Yup, that's right. I'm the proud owner of an almost new Glock 23.

For you non-Americans, its a .40 caliber compact pistol.

Also, I got a concealed carry license so I can carry it pretty much anywhere I want.

Glock 36 looks like a ***** to shoot. I have big hands, so that would not work, at all. And it's a .45. :/

Well, it is a slimline model, personally I doubt I'd be willing to buy anything smaller than compact.

.45s are overkill anyways. Even the 32 feels kinda small, and my hands aren't really that large.

The second sentence doesn't make any sense.

Well, American is pretty much the only modern country which allows its citizens to carry handguns for personal defense. So I thought not as many non-Americans would be familiar with handguns?

lol... like: 99% off this forum is a weapons collector/expert

I highly doubt that, the number of people on the forum who are genuine weapon collectors or experts is quite small.

I guess the Czech Republic does as well.  So yeah, you're right.  Though most Americans might not know the caliber and size of a Glock 23.

Anyway, congrats.  It seems .40 ammo is easier to find nowadays than 9mm or .45 .

lucky you, to live in a country with alot of freedom, my country does not even approve of airsoft. If i had to shoot, i need a license and the guns are all sooooo plain like an airsoft made from paintball guns, all dark and a big air tank blocking your sights, and i have to go to CCs to play(Community clubs) but i could not blame them since if my countrymen got an airsoft gun they could easily obtain, there is an 99.9 percent chance they will colour the orange thing black and use it to rob people.

Not terribly easier to find. People around here are stockpiling every shell they can find. It's more expensive too.

Oh, and had no idea about the Czech Republic. Just did a little research on their gun laws, I have to say, I'm really surprised.

I'd take a 1911 because of the coolness factor any day  Glad that you like the thing, though.

I've been told that the 1911 is good for concealed carry because of its slim profile, but I'd say it's still a large gun. How is the Glock 23 in comparison?
