In EGII you could pay a large sum of money in order to warp yourself some hundreds of years into the future. Officially you're suppose to have immortality first and you're suppose to be making a journey to a far off land, returning home to find it has changed, In other words, guns are all the rage now.

This was a totally different experience, revolvers, 10-shot rifles, all sorts of guns, it was awesome! The best time I've ever had playing Mount&Blade, it was like there were two excellent mods in one.

Obviously it's Chel's mod and he can do whatever he wants with it, but I wonder how much support there is for this feature returning.

The main feature of the Illumination age, besides the introduction of gunpowder, was that all the factions in the game got re-dressed into new equipment sets that were randomly generated, so previously powerful troops could become weaker, weaker ones could become better, you had to figure it all out again, and it was never the same two times in a row, and, of course, Onyx had guns

I've never liked the feel of any gun mod honestly? Why not just make some cooler bows/xbows and toss them info mix. But the idea of bringing a knife to a gun fight, is kinda stupid.

No because the fact is if we're being realistic here from the ranges you shoot from in the same it wouldn't matter if you were running up in full plate those bullets would completely puncture it. Then you're telling me the guy is going to keep walking at me with a gun shot to his legs/head?

Ofcoure dont you watch movies? humans can take at least 10 bullets to kill maybe more if its Chuck Norris... (sarcasm)

What exactly are you trying to point out?

Taking a realistic simulator game and adding non realistic things is a bit annoying imo

M&B was suppose to be realistic...thats why there are all those calculations, speed of swing etc...

Is it more realistic someone in leather tunic (Captured barbarian) to walk with a couple of bolts in him, and a couple of arrows, after he has been hit with two handed sword?

This is a game for gods sake, that things can't be realistic. This game was supposed to simulate battles, and battles only.

In illumination people died in 1-2 hits with a gun, so I don't see what this argument about realism is all about...

I don't recall a single NPC surviving a head shot.

Dont remember exactly it was long time when i played EGII but mail and plate were giving nice protetion so it was possible to survive headshot even from firearms...

@Jackamo so why game calculates all those speed of swords, arrows and calculates it what damage it should make? to be realistic i quess...

Why do people like guns so much in this game?  Personally I hate them and adding guns in this mod just doesn't make sense to me.

Why? high damage low requirments...

Any way i dont want guns in EGIII they dont fit and they dont work exactly as they should...

Mount&Blade isn't a realistic simulator game imo. Of course, you wouldn't want to worsen the situation. Anyway, It isn't much more stupid than seeing a guy with arrows through his body or head and still walking.

Chel, what is this weird red light here?
