Ignored Battle Commands (Warband)

Playing Warband but have encountered a problem in battle gameplay...

Durring battle my commands to 'hold,' 'charge' etc have stopped working. If i select my units and then order them to hold for instance, the units get deselected and they just carry on as though I did nothing. Also, if i try to use the 'F' or number keys to command them, the msg on the scene says 'Cavarly charge' or Cavarly hold' as though I specifically have selected the cavalry which I have not (I have none in my army).

I have started a new game, and it works fine. The commands had been fine in my current game up until just now. Anyone any ideas in how to sort this out. Thanks.

Well, i seem to have solved this problem. By changing the category the units are in (Infantry, Archers, Cavalry) into one of the 'unamed' categories has allowed me to order again without the command being ignored. I noticed though, that by naming the new category as the same as the one that wouldnt work, i.e calling my new tab 'Infantry,' the battle orders to those units will still be ignored. So this error must be directly linked to the naming.

It would be interesting to know what may have caused this, as I dont know if my new tabs will become infunctional also in future. I hope not!

Urgh, that lasted long. Problem is back.... help.

For anyone interested, i fixed the problem by simply renaming the existing tabs (infantry, archers and cavalry) to something different.
