If you store enemy lords in your garrison, will you still receive ransom bids?

I always keep enemy lords prisoner in my army itself, rather than dump them in any of my garrisons.  I guess I'm worried they'll break out easily before my prison improvements are built.  If I stick them in my garrison, will enemy factions still make ransom bids for them?

As was said already, yes. However I would like to add that in my opinion it is more beneficial to let them go (unless under a task to get one for a fellow lord/king). I say this because you get a decent bit of a relation bump and if for whatever reason you get jumped by them later on down the road and prefer not to fight there is a chance they will let you go.


Edit- As to escapes as I remember even without the prison tower improvement there is less of a chance of them escaping from your garrison than there is from your party.

Actually, I believe the highest chance that they can escape is being your prisoner tagging along with your army. Unimproved prison is next then the improved prison is the most secured but they still can escape.
