I appreciate the concern from everyone regarding fair policing etc, however please understand that in my circumstance there are, indeed, past events and attitudes at play. What some may call trolling others would call self defense and response to haters. I'm sure we are all familiar with the rampant hate towards lancers. In reality the past appeal was for a team mate of mine, Tader_Bros_Fresh, while I played under the name TADER_BROS_Ltd.

The fact is that I will not be unbanned from the MG server, I accept that. It is however important to note that my opinions, attitude and history are my own, and do not reflect those of the FK regiment. I could have chosen to rebrand and hide under a different name, however that is not how I want to operate and handle issues. My gaming tag is TADER and will not change, regardless of certain group's perception of me.

It is the choice of every individual whether to follow hearsay, jump on the bandwagon and join the witch hunt, or to judge other players based on individual merit and actual interactions with said player. If you choose the former so be it, its a long walk to the back of the hater line, however please do not judge my organization from this choice.

The fact is, when I saw him on the server again after a hiatus of not playing, The following events occurred.

His name showed up.
I perma banned him.
I laughed and took a sip of my drink.

lol I find it quite funny that even with Taders background he tks once accidentally and before he can actually apologise is banned immdiatly, now I could understand this if this was Biggles ... but someone from one a credible regiment and 2 has changed his actions as of late, you still see fit to ban him immdiatly without any reason given before hand ..

Then I find it more hysterical that the person owning the server backs you up, now tbh I don't play on the American servers anyway but I'm finding this all terrible form for the American side to jump on the band wagon of trying to pursecute Tader for well frankly ... nothing at all.

And Tader had the common decency to apologise for his actions ... Seriously? .. Good admining?

Banning an entire regiment for the behaviour of one of its members sounds wrong to me.
Sure, Tader was a troll. He has changed lately, but i understand some people still have hard feelings against him.
I feel this shouldn't reflect on Smithy or on the Freikorps.  He was banned for his past behaviour and a accidental teamkill.

I think this has gotten out of hand real quickly. I suggest we call this discussion finished. No need to drag it out any longer.
He accepts the ban and i think this should be the end of it.

oh my spelling has always been crap but you more than easily read it so I see no need to change it, if we're taking it to a personal level "Sarge" that you of all people should know the length people will go to to defend friends, assuming that you happen to of picked up any along your travels through various regiments?

And I do indeed know what i'm talking about if i'm going to be on the receiving end of it, Tader was incorrectly dealt with and if you had half a brain to even try to sum up a reason for his banning i'd quite happily riposte it across the face of the galaxy.

5arge, there really is no need to turn this into more of a flame war. I find your comments disturbing, coming from a player who is widely respected among the community, including myself, and who I thought shared a mutual respect.

The MG team are the only guys who have made a good, popular American server.

Very true and well put. The MG have maintained a robust, fun server for a long time. However it, like any server faces challenges. In this case these include finding a balance between having polls as a means of regulating the server in the absence of admins, and preventing the abuse of such polls. Fair policing and admin regulation is, like any server, a constant challenge. However as a longtime player of the mg server I can attest that these issues have generally not been mishandled.

I must also state that I remained basically unapologetic in my past dealings with the mg. Some of my comments could well have been taken as insults towards the organization, as no doubt comments in this thread could be taken as insults towards me. If I am addressing an issue where I do not feel I am in the wrong, I won't go out of my way to be disrespectful, however I will not kiss ass. I'm sure those I'm addressing understand and can respect this.

I have been banned from the server and there is no changing this. Like many wise posters before me I ask that you let sleeping dogs lie and not turn this into a battle between organizations or players.

I agree with the sentiment that this is starting to blow up. As my last post, some thoughts.

In my view, I hold individuals to their own standards, not to a collective. I personally will not hold Fk responsible for things done by its members.

I would entreat European players who have decided to comment on this server to take a step back, and realize they may not know how the server works, and that second hand opinions are naturally less informed than others.

And lastly: Yes, I am arrogant. Having been apart of this community for a larger part of a year has changed the way I view players, servers, and administration. If you have played with me personally, been in a team speak with me, you know i'm pretty mellow (although not as much as I wish to be.) I have been made to be stern to deal with the antics that occur on a near daily basis with this community.Ultimately, the decisions I make are for the betterment of the MG server community, and I wont back down from doing what I need to do, just to earn the acceptance of those outside of it.

This is why Deo is the head staff member in our civilian Auxiliary at MilitaryGamers.com.

Our server remains up and available to the M&M community only because of how popular it is with the NA segment.  If we stopped hosting it, many American and other NA players and regiments wouldn't have a stable server to play on.  We admin it as we see fit and we answer only to ourselves.  In many cases we draw a hard line.  It's this stance that permanently gets rid of the worst offenders who ruin the experience for everyone else.

As I've stated in the past, we really don't care about reforming people, or trying to help people find their maturity, or if someone let's their little brother, roommate, or anyone else play on their account.  If they join our server and act stupid, and they're caught (it may take time, but yes, most are eventually caught), there will be permanent consequences.  We removed the ability to appeal our decisions because we found that most of the people posting on our site were actually requesting more bans.  The few that were requesting un-bans generally admitted their guilt, but were asking for pity.  We have no pity for idiots.

I've been in two regiments, an EU one, and then a NA one. Not "various". I've got lots of friends. As TADER even said, I am well known in this community, and it's not because I am a troll. It's because I am fair, and honest, and I tell it how it is. You found it all too convenient to call out the entire "American side" pointing your ignorant finger in my direction. So, you of all people should know the length people will go to to defend friends, mine being the gentlemen who admin MG server. TADER has long been blacklisted on MG server, and it has long been well deserved. He may have decided to change his ways to appease Smithy, but that doesn't undo the damage he had done on MG server. I personally saw far too many good players ragequit MG because of that fool and his buddy Fresh. Honestly, I never saw either of them with a score above -1 during public play. TADER made it a sport to annoy people until they quit MG server, and so he must pay for that indefinitely. You don't know all the facts, moreso, you know NONE of the facts regarding TADER's ban/s, so you cannot say that he was incorrectly dealt with. Well, I suppose you can say it... you'd just be wrong.

You are well known because of your regiment, who I personally hold much respect for, and your organization of public lb teams, but please don't flatter yourself. If you want to let yourself be swayed by others opinions and second hand knowledge, as you so eloquently put it, thats fine. But please have respect for the community and dont further try to make this a inter-continental war, as that is simply fail.

The one thing you have the right of is the people I have made rage quit, every one of them opposite team members who couldnt handle facing cavalry. I suggest you take your own advice and speak on what you have firsthand knowledge of. Lets not go spreading rumours now, son.

When we changed our policy regarding the ban/un-ban appeals we granted a general amnesty (as I've also mentioned before) by removing nearly all of the previous permanent bans with only a few exceptions.

I'm just going to come out and say it. These people pay MONEY for the server. What they do on it is up to them, if you want to get *****y about it- go spent a few hundred bucks a month on a server and be your own admin on it.
