If the devs wanted to make changes to the campaign map, are you ok with that? POLL

Would you be ok with the campaign map changing?

as far as I'm aware, it's not gonna happen, at least not anytime soon... It was implied (for the best of knowledge) that if they do that, it'll be far (and I mean FAAAAAAAR) in the future, long past the game has been officially released. I'd bet it'll probably come as some sort of DLC
Bummer... I'm not here to bash developers but thats really disappointing to hear and sad that that wasn't something to build on after warband. I get the difficulty of adding a different element such as battles in but to not even have sea traders, sea travel, or raiders is pretty weak.

Would absolutely love if they make the map bigger and spread each city/settlement out more, it feels like walking through a megacity rn in my oppinion. You can't walk 2 seconds without encountering a huge army.

if only their castles and towns looked better (they currently look like ****, but maybe that's just personal taste)

To me, they look great. You get the sense that the Battanians are the autocthonous inhabitants of Calradia, with their cyclopean Bronze Age rock castles all ruined and diminished after centuries of defensive war against the Empire and the Vlandians, hastily rebuilt time after time in timber... I like them a lot.

I think that all the factions' settlements look good. I would have liked to see stone castles with the Vlandians (sure, they represent motte-and-baley kind of early Normans, but they already dress like 13th Century Normans, why can't they have 13th Century stone castles?

Or, even better, have their earliest settlemens look like what they ACTUALLY ARE: Imperial towns fallen into disrepair and brought back up by Vlandian stonemasonry. You know, like... London? Winchester? Gloucester? Rouan and Caen? I'm a bit disappointed that those cities like Pravend, which were supposed to have been big Imperial towns, are only wigwams of wood with stone foundations. I expected some Imperial ruins here and there.

Then, the eastern Vlandian towns, the newer ones like Sargot or Ocs Hall could look like motte-and-baley wooden forts. That's ok.

Nah, you've misunderstood me, my issue is with their keeps, the interior looks awful, it's like a neolithic cave.

But I have to agree with you to some extent pertaining lack of variation... I think castles and towns are too bland, at the very least Empire should have different styles for Norther Western and Southern, Normans could use with a mix of wood + stone castles, Battanains could use with "reformed" Vlandian castles, Sturgians could have more Vaegir style to the east (they are too nord-centric, the sturgians, but they have nobles that dress like vaegir, it's too confusing).

I think they look atmospheric, they keep in with their idea of "what if Bronze Age, but in the 10th century). But yes, I can understand the Battanians' taste in interior decor is not for everyone.

take stroll in the keep, they don't even make sense (corridors that lead no-where, no access to supposed rooms, nothing), the internal wooden rampart leads to the same place that the internal stone corridors do... Bronze age or not, that doesn't make any sense, lacks detail. It would be good, if at least they've had slapped in some logical room distribution.

I'm not going to discuss if structurally it makes sense or not, I thought we were talking aesthetics.

aesthetics need to make sense, one and the other walk together... If I created a scenario for a film that makes no sense at all, and I mean, at all, I'd be fired. Other keeps have consistency, logic applied to them, why does Battanian doesn't? It's called inconsistency, it's a flaw... They should improve those (Battanian Keeps), while they don't I keep finding them too out-of-place.

what they could do is that cities rise in class, increase the extension and add buildings because historically only major cities had a circus. As it is now, it does not make any sense that they are a village of 4 houses with a circus, without temples, without senate or baths, I am not saying that they do the imperial Rome or Carthage or Constantinople, but a little more than what is here. , I know that it is an anticipated access and that it can change almost everything for the better or for the worse hope that they hear the comments and end up being a great game in a year or two. If something does not make sense or you see a lack of respect for someone, it is not my intention, it is a matter of the google translator

You hadn't translate before sending
