im kinda newbie so if some1 could tell me how to dismount in a battle i just downloaded this game and its very COOL! so if some1 could help

press backwards untill you come to a halt then look downtowards the horse and itll say dismount, then just press the action key to do so

Seeing as we're asking newbie questions, I have one:

Can you switch to the weapons in the 2 extra weapons slots without going back to your chest in mid-battle? I registered the game, but I don't think I got a basic manual, and this issue isn't raised in the manual section of this forum. I think I've got everything else pretty much figured out but this.

Only ask coz I've seen other characters switch weapons (most often between ranged and melee weapons) on the fly.

Press the [ for changing shield and ] for changing weapons...I think...

If in doubt, look at options and see what commands are available and more importantly what keys you need to press.

Jest like the features like CTRL-R to rear a horse and what have you. There's lots of easy to miss features

I changed my switch weapon key.
Change the switch weapon and shield keys to E and wathewer you like. The game isnt made for Scandinavian Keyboards.

Changing weapon switch key to R is pretty good. It allows for easy left handed access yet little chance of accidentally hitting it while moving.

For instant dismount while galloping, ctrl-R to rear horse while looking down and then quickly hitting F.

Do this only if no enemy cav nearby. Getting a couched lance in the back while stationary sucks.

Do the quicky dismount to save your horse if it's low on HP. It has roughly 58 HP.
