If I lead an army with companion's party, He get surgeon xp?

1. If I lead an army with companion's party, He get surgeon xp? While I have my owm surgeon.
2. Another question: Does isolate companion's party gain surgeon's xp when fighting looters,villagers etc?

I don't know about the first question, but they do get surgery XP when leading parties on their own.
