Ideas For Combat As Sarranids

I am thinking of starting a new campaign game as Sarranids, since in my other I currently have to dominate the Nords and need a break from that siege madness that hurts my brain. And anyways, I haven't heard much about tactics with Sarranids, other then Mamluke spam, since they're similar to Swadian Knights, but I want to know how the rest of their army compares with others and any tactics or special ways to use them. I was going to make my character a ground archer with high strength and charisma and focus more on combat tactics. Any ideas would be helpful, thanks.
 
Im not really a sarranid player on campaign (although they are gods in multiplayer) although from what I have played:  Master archers en mass are great for the sheer number of arrows they can get in the air at once,  and I understand that with a bit of micromanaging orders you can get some nice skirmishing going on with their Jarids  (holding fire, lining up to the enemy and releasing volleys)
 
Sarranids are AMAZING. Seriously, probably the best faction in the game.

Mamlukes destroy any other heavy cavalry: yes, including Swadian Knights. Their archers are almost on par with Vaegirs, and the master archers perform reliably in combat. Their top tier infantry is also pretty good, better than Vaegir, Swadian or Rhodok units IMO.

So yeah, Sarranids are great, and they perform well in all terrains and in sieges.
 
The great thing about the Sarranids is you can use any and all of their units in any position. They aren't like the other factions, where they excel at one or two things and fail in the others.

All their units are basically the second-best of their type:

Mamelukes: Possibly the best cavalry in the game, most likely tied with Swad knights.
Master Archers: Second only to Vaegir Archers, from what I hear they are now "Gatling Guns". sounds good.
Guards: Solid shield infantry, usually armed with a mace, which means prisoners. Good armor, good stats, and they can certainly hold a line, as well as charge up a siege ladder capably.



all-in-all, they're incredibly well suited to deal with any faction, whereas other factions are reliant on certain units.

good beginner faction.
 
Sarrinids are good, very good, but most of thier good weapons are rarely used by thier troops. However the only disadvantage with the sarrininds is the weakness of thier low tier troops.
