Maybe in some buldings such as taverns or at ports there should be bottles that can be thrown or be used as a melee weapon? so we can have drunken sailor fights!

Sortof. We had chairs, cheese, fish, chicken, jugs, cups etc.

We also had barrels as throing weapons, which you could have great fun with:

I also remember patrolling the city when all of a sudden my patrol got bombarded with a volley flying cheese from a nearby haystack. Then got closer, three guys named "Mentally unstable" etc. jumped out and ran away
