Idea for a build, need everyone's advice

I have an idea for a build/weapon type that I thought might work pretty well. Currently i am mopping up the game as a lancer. But I was thinking about down the line (when im done), starting a two-handed weapon guy that mainly wields a bardiche with 50 cutting damage (two-handed weapon and not polearm). Would this be viable, and what would be good skills to use to make this work?

I'm guessing riding and power-strike, but the question is should i put more points into agility or strength, because when it comes to siege would this character be any good or would he just be an archer's pawn. I know that the bardiche does 50 cutting damage but is that enough since cutting isn't as good as piercing and blunt?

Just hoping for someone's advice.

Drop the bardiche for a two handed sword for the reach, it's usually a one hit kill anyways for two handed weapons like these, the 50c damage is just over doing it. Anything above ~30c wielded with two hands is usually enough to down some of the more heavily armored enemies anyways.
Go for athletics, lots and lots of athletics. You'll need to be fast due to all the armor you'll need to wear in order to protect yourself against projectiles. Other equipment like bows and javelins are optional, since their weight will slow you down.
I'd recommend starting out with a sword and board though, since you won't be very fast at the beginning, ans assuming you're using manual block instead of the cheap automatic one. Either practice parrying or time your strikes well enough that you can one hit your enemies before they get their strike or block up.

The only thing is that I meant to point out is this is a mounted build. What i was asking is whether i should put points into athletics in case of a siege battle. Oh and bardiche's have a bonus against shields so I'm gonna use them because i would prefer them; plus without a bardiche, how can i feel like Lu Bu, lol

Thank you for the advice....

My uber build usually consists of a Great Axe with 54c, and full heavy armor. This build is slow, and requires a huge amount of agility. However, what I usually do is raise my athletics through the roof. This way parrying is useless, as you can dodge the attack and hit right back. In-fact, I haven't parried an attack since my first character!

Another similar build is with a long scimitar and red light leather. You get +30 agility with athletics on ten, and you can glide through the battle, cutting throats as you go. The bonus of this is, that you won't need as much strength as in the previous buid, because the speed bonus is tremendous.

Just get Power Draw instead of Athletics. Synergizes better with Power Strike, and as one who plays this build frequently, you'll easily have enough weapon points left over to be an archer.

Well, not a bad idea.(i love lu bu but i think gaun yu was cooler.) But when you make a charecter like that you have to wear heavy plate armor which makes you look like a knight. Unless you use a mod
