I want to like this mod but the starting gameplay is just stupid hard

Whenever I start new char in Nova Aetas I just go to tournamets i spent first 10-15 days just on that, like a lot of them, and bet 200 florins that I will get 2 bods for that round. You don't even need to kill anyone if your team won you will be payed for your bid. This way I gather around 30-40 even 50+ K in a very short time and then I can start planing what I want to do, eaither make my self a wassal or start my own kingdom.

Another tip for battle's:
a) 25% archers, 25% heavy Infarny and rest heavy cavaliry or
b) 100% heavy cavaliry

About your income - just use that 50K and buy some realestate and rent them and you will be drowning in money.

Tip for Prestige points: Build a farm, every crop give you one prestige points and you will have 4 fields with about 20 crops = 80 prest. points in a short time. You get Prest.

I hope it helps, and don't give up on this mod. For me it's the best around

The only thing i truly hate is when catars infest vilages or when they show up in the end of the peasant training quest.

Just shout Deus Vult and throw yourself at them, god/alah/flying spagetti monster will grant you victory!!

Or if you loose switch to a better religion

You have some point, Lemonater47. However I see there's a lot of gameplay and treasury locations that are revealed.

Yes I'm a bit of a history buff. And have studied Theology ,Histoty and Phlosphy quite a bit.
Also I thought the real world religions was a great idea.
Alongside that I noticed the various Christian(Protestant Sects). You perhaps may have not heard of them but over 50 years before Martin Luther there was the  "Bohemian Reformation". Which you may find quite interesting.

The oldest Protestant Sect is in fact "The Moravian Church". I've found enough connections that I think my ancestors may have been apart of them. Due to seeing on of my Ancestors coat of arms, then seeing it matched the symbol of the church. And they sold their lands and such and went to America. Perhaps they were really fleeing the Catholic Church. And they went to an area where there was a high amount of Moravians/churches. There's also countless other connections as well.
Interesting! Thanks for the story.

@Timesitheus

But I do care about your opinion. Perhaps it's a matter of setting goals. The game intends you're willing to join the middle class, higher class, nobility and at the end following in footsteps of kings. However if you want to be a king immediately after start of game, then you're gonna to have a hard time. This should be something to achieve at the end. Try to set up a farm first, an enterprise. Small goals which are much easier to achieve.
Hi,
I live in Bohemia, now Czech republic. It is good part my country history. We was strong enaught to defead five crusades agains us. We use firearms such as hand cannons and use wagon fort.

Rather, I hate all infested village quests now. They are indeed stupidly hard. It doesnt make a lot of sense that we have to fight like 40-50 bandits armed with armor, shield, sword, ranged, etc wtih only 7-8 guys including you while the farmers get locked up somewhere.

Matter of fact, I never bothered to help peasants ever. Most of my money comes from winning tourneys and occasional trading.

Ok, ok. I'll replace the cathars by looters.
Makes more sense since fanatics would burn the village rather than infest it.

Im fine with cathars but did they have to come in 50 to take a village?

I don't think Cathars should be replaced completely. They look cool and conquering their castle is fun. You should just tweak them. For example, reduce the number of Cathar parties on the map and party sizes, and reduce the price to pay them to 500 florins. That way it's not hard, it's easier to avoid them and if you can't escape them or beat them it's not too big of a penalty to pay them to go away.

The only complaint I have with the Cathars is that they're fast and deadly early game, it makes getting away from them when you're in no shape to beat them hard.

Someone mentioned to replace them by the Hussites. These protestants were terrifying the Bohemian lands around the 1500s.
I really like the idea. But the Cathars are already so deeply implemented. They have their own voice when you talk with 'em.
Plus the Hussites aren't really a uniform group. They would only be distinguished by their shields.

Please just cut the amount of Cathars n other bandits in villages in half or triple the amount of troops that can participate in the missions
