I think TW is trying to lower the expectation.

Having said that I'm sure if you were to go back a year, hell even a few months and look at what people were expecting from bannerlord's early access and what we actually got, you'd find the game we have now is a lot less than even the most humble of expectations. Part of that is just that people always hype a game much more than it deserves, but the other part is I don't think that anyone expected them to deliver a game that they literally JUST barely slapped together with very simple mechanics in place that hold everything together, when they even work.

I see a lot of this in teenage boys.

Before they ever have sex. And then, after they experience it, realizing it's not like hentai or manga, they somehow get disappointed. Better start demanding the girl(or boy, or whatever) you had sex with apologize to you, huh.

(ps) whatever you expected, i guarantee it really wasn't "humble" at all, and did not take into consideration any of the real life issues surrounding the game, because, do gamers ever care about such things?

Yes indeed, expecting functional sieges we saw in the ''early access'' announcement video might just be too high of an expectation. Its pretty amazing we can actually walk in the game.
I'd love to have fully polished sieges, did I expect them to be perfect though? No of course not. Not in EA, maybe not even at release.

I honestly didn't expect much, it may be slightly underwhelming but meh, it is what it is and I knew it wouldn't be mind blowing. That doesn't change the fact that a lot of people expected a straight up better game than the previous one. There's no need to feel personally attacked at people not feeling a game is up to par for their expectations, it happens, it happens a lot. And in a few months either you'll be proven right or they will. No need to bother attacking people for not enjoying the game as much as you, if anything the only reason people get up in arms is because they care and want the game to get better, else they wouldn't even be here.

I'm cautiously positive about the game going forward, especially given it's release success.

Not even at release, u good buddy?
Anyway we are talking about expectations and my expectations are gonna be what they show me. So In a trailer for ''Early Access'' which we got, sieges are presented as functional. So why would they do that?

Ha I'm just being realistic and keeping my expectations reasonable. Sieges have always been messy, so if they manage to pull it off this time, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I feel you on the Early Access video, but they're not too far off. I'll give them another year to tinker and hopefully get it right.
